Asbestos training

This training course is divided into two main sections: sampling and safe management of asbestos, and asbestos decontamination procedures. By sampling, you’ll be able to characterize asbestos in buildings in compliance with the Règlement sur la santé et la sécurité du travail (RSST) and the Quebec Construction Code.

For decontamination, you’ll learn about the rights and obligations of workers and employers, and the health effects of asbestos exposure. You’ll master the components of low, moderate and high risk worksites, asbestos removal methods and procedures, and possible interventions on asbestos-containing materials. You’ll be able to interpret a laboratory report on the daily measurement of airborne fibers.

At the end of this 4-hour course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
